Graduates, 1974
During the first week of school in September, 1973, Sister Lucina spoke to the 8th graders and, introducing them to the year, reminded them of their responsibilities as leaders in the school, and encouraged them to show their enthusiasm and good will for their last year in St. Albert’s.
Now, as we look back over the school year, 73-74, it is certain that these students can be commended for responding admirably to the challenge.
Through their hard work and enthusiastic spirit, the 8th graders helped and took leadership in the accomplishments of many goals throughout the year, such as a successful Book and Bake Sale, a worthwhile recycling project, the publishing of two newspapers.
Their teamwork and skill in sports were remarkable no only on the basketball court and baseball diamond, but also on the sidelines and during half times with the support of the drill team and cheerleaders.
A willingness to serve and help others was shown by their efforts in the Service Squad, in a canned food collection, in the Campbell’s Soup Label drive and the Candy Sale. Intellectual abilities were apparent in the work displayed at the Open House and in their test results.
All in all, we can be very proud of this group of fine young people who have shown themselves to be a credit to their families and to all the people of St. Albert’s Parish. We know they will continue to grow spiritually, socially, and intellectually as they enter different schools.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS, GRADUATES OF 1974!!!
