1974 CHRONICLE – CYO GIRLS SOFTBALL

GIRL’S C.Y.O. BASEBALL JUN 16TH, 1974
The season has ended for our girls’ CYO softball team. They had a winning season – 5 wins and 4 losses plus one postponement. Three of the losses were by one run, so with only a couple more runs this could really have been a terrific season.

Thank you girls for making this a truly representative team of St. Albert the Great. They were good
sports win or lose.

The following girls made up the team: Lisa Asciutto, Sue Carney, Sandi Chevrier, Coleen Darcy, Mary Lou Jansen, Terri Jansen, Paula Korejwo, Cindy Keating, Janet Mack, Kelly Morgan, Paula Morich, Kris Morris, Cathy Patrick, Sue Siemiesz, Doris Regner, Colleen Teschendorf, Denise Uetz, Maureen Uetz, Eileen York, and Sue York.

Twelve of these girls are leaving St. Albert’s for high school. Good luck on your future teams. A real big THANK YOU is tendered to Coach Bob Mallia and his assistants, John O’Connor and Frank LaFeire.

Thank you also to the parents that provided transportation to and from the away games.

GIRL’S C.Y.O. VS DADS CLUB JUN 16TH, 1974
The C.Y.O. Girls Team played a great game, but could not overtake the ole Dad’s Club team. The C.Y.O. girls jumped to an early lead of 2 to 0 for the first three innings. Then the Dads’ Club got some hits together and came up to go ahead, final score Dads 13 – C.Y.O. girls 9. The last three innings were hard on the dads. The girls almost got to them. Hats off to the C.Y.O. girls and their coaches – you did a great job this season.
