Saturday, January 25th the girls were given a real scare by a much improved team from St. Cyprian. Down 6 to 1 in the first quarter, St. Albert’s rebounded to a 19 to 8 victory.
Their record is now five wins and one loss.
Last Thursday they played St. Pius in our gym. Score next week.
Next Thursday, February 6th we play Wyandotte Catholic at home. Game time is 6:00 p.m. It would certainly inspire the team if more of the parents were on hand.
The girls intramural program has finally gotten off the ground. There are four teams this year and their practice and games are on Wednesday and Friday. Intramural action begins this week. Schedules have already been posted.
Thursday, January 9th our girls played the team from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. The result was a 31 to 9 victory for St. Albert the Great.
Friday, January 17th our team journeyed to St. Joseph’s in Trenton and lost a real heart breaker by a score of 21 to 19.
Yesterday we played a good team from St. Cyprian in Riverview. Results next week.
This Thursday, January 30th come to our gym and watch our girls in their game with the team from St. Pius. The game is at 6:00 p.m. and it would be nice to see more of the parents there to see their offspring play. Thanks to the faithful fans that have supported the team thus far.
