1968 CHRONICLE – FAREWELL FATHER KUKULSKI & DADS CLUB UPDATE

FAREWELL
Father Kukulski will be leaving this Friday to take up an assignment as Chaplain at the Northville State Hospital.

Father Kukulski will be in the school library from 2:00 – 3:00 this afternoon to say good bye to the parishioners.

He would like to express his sincere thanks and appreciation to Monsignor Weier, the Marist Sisters, and all of the parishioners. Msgr. Weier was a most gracious and accomodating priest to live with, the Marist Sisters were always ever so helpful, the parishioners have always been warm, friendly and cheerful and very dedicated in supporting their parish. The youngsters of the parish are the best you will find anywhere. Every Blessing and best wishes to MSGR. Weier, the Sisters, the youth and adults of the parish.

DADS CLUB
We have just completed another school year and I wish to take this opportunity to thank all the people who worked so hard to make our program such a huge success. As you know, at St. Albert’s our Athletic Program is designed to give every student from grades 3 thru 8 an equal opportunity to participate in each sport. Our directors have tried their very best too see that this is accomplished. The directors for 1968 were as follows:

Richard Moore – Football
Donald Korte – Basketball
Stanley Osolinski, Arthur Heidt – Girls Intramural Baseball and Basketball
Percy Teschendorf – Boys Intramural Baseball

Our Catholic Youth Organization teams (C.Y.O.) carried our colors proudly and in winning fashion. Their conduct was a credit to St. Albert’s. The coaches and managers spent many hours with the players and a thank you is due:

Richard Miller – CYO Basketball
Richard Breda – CYO Baseball
Don DeMayo – CYO Girls Baseball

A special thank you to John Breisinger, Mark Osaer, Danny York, and Mike Uetz for helping to umpire Intramural baseball, to Cheryl Newlin for working so hard with the cheerleaders, and to Rick DeMayo for the CYO Girls.

Many athletic programs are in the planning stage for both the children and adults of the parish. However, much more help is going to be needed and much better attendance at Dad’s Club meetings is a necessity. Our programs are for the benefit of the parish and it is up to the Dads of the parish to participate. Once again, thanking everyone who helped in our programs and hoping that the 1968-1969 athletic season will be a success.

Maurice Osaer, Athletic Director
