CYO AWARD
Mr. Richard Miller will be awarded today the Ed Crowe Award for an outstanding contribution of service to the youth of our parish. The Award will be presented to Mr. Miller this afternoon at 5:30 at the CYO Annual Awards Dinner to be held in the Mercy College Student Center, Outer Drive and Southfield Road, Detroit.

The Ed Crowe Award, named in honor of the late co-founder and first director of CYO, is bestowed upon adults who have made exceptional volunteer contributions toward the betterment of youth in any phase of the CYO program – athletics, scouting, teen and young adult clubs, camping and social projects.

All friends of the CYO are cordially invited to attend this dinner to honor the men and women who have devoted themselves so generously to the improvement of youth.

CATHOLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM
The Catholic School System of the Archdiocese of Detroit has a student enrollment of 186, 344 in 360 schools with a teaching personnel of 6,237. The parochial school system operates at a $127,767,550.00 tax saving to the state.

The central office of the Catholic School System is located in the Gabriel Richard Building, 305 Michigan Ave., corner of Washington Boulevard, in downtown Detroit.

Our own parish school, Grades one through eight, has an enrollment of 620 students with 10 Marist Sisters and 7 lay teachers.
