Last Sunday the first of four special collections was taken up and many members of the Parish contributed to it. Some gave $24 or more, while others gave lesser amounts with the intention of spreading their contributions over a four or five week period, while still others made a pledge of $25 or more. Some of those who gave the full amount requested that their names not be published in the Chronicle, and, of course, their wishes will be respected.
