1967 SAINT ALBERT’S MENS SOFTBALL TEAM WINS CHAMPIONSHIP

The relationship between St. Albert’s, its staff, and the parishioners was already very strong long before the little friends arrived on the scene. A perfect example of this occurred on June 25th, 1967 when parents and teachers of the young parish joined forces to not only compete against the more established Churches in the area, but to defeat them in head to head tournament competition in the Dearborn Recreation League.

The summer of ’67 saw the St. Albert’s Men’s Softball Team walk off with the Softball Playoff Championship by beating Divine Child, St. Sebastian, and St. Martha. Several of the little friends’ dads and one future teacher were on this softball team. Members of the Team are as follows.

Ed Mielnik
Ted Traskos
Ken Litogot

Perc Teschendorf
