The newly built gymnasium was being used not only for sports and physical education, but for social events such as dances and serving dinners. However its final test would not happen until 1967 when St. Albert’s was chosen to host a formal fashion show in its newly built gymnasium. The fashion show was the gymnasium’s first formal event and was a huge success that would create the opportunity for many other formal events as invitational speakers, professional athletes, conventions, and even formal New Years Eve Parties would take place in this gymnasium’s future.
