1968 CHRONICLE – TEEN CLUB BOBLO TRIP

Hey, teens! Join the fun! Come along with the merry members of the CYO Federation of Parish Teen Clubs for their annual trip to Bob-Lo, Sunday, July 14,

Join with teenagers from other parishes for a wonderful outing.

Renew old acquaintances and meet new friends. You’ll have a ball!

Teen bands will provide the music for dancing on the boat and at the Pavilion on the island. A wide variety of games and contests have been scheduled for the afternoon. Bob-Lo Island offers many exciting rides and other diversions.

The famed SS. Columbia and SS. St. Claire will carry the teens from the foot of Woodward to the island Sunday morning. The St. Claire will also stop at Wyandotte.

Dan Sienkiewicz, from St. Joan of Arc Parish, is general chairman. His chief aides – all sub-committee chairmen – are Patty Thull and John Stump (St. Michael’s, Southfield), John Domagala (St. Andrew’s), John Slanga (Immaculate Heart of Mary), Frank Gianino (St. John’s, Monroe), Thomas Ratusznik (St. Bartholomew’s), Phyllis Kovach (St. Henry’s, Lincoln Park), Edward Gergosian (Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Royal Oak), Pat McBride (St. Veronica, East Detroit), Charles Beauchamp (St. Ignatius), John Hannon (St. Leonard’s, Warren) and Nancy Nemeth (Holy Cross).

Tickets for this chartered cruise, which are priced at $2 for adults and 90 cents for children from six to 12 years of age, may be purchased from parish teen club representatives. Further information on the purchase of tickets may be obtained by calling the CYO Teen Club office, 963-7172, Ext. 16.
